Order of Merit
Established to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth, development, and success of ICPC. Past-Presidents receive the OM recognition upon completion of their years of service on the Executive Committee.
This award is presented at the Annual Training Seminar (ATS) to honor distinguished service.
Eligibility: Nominee must be an active member of ICPC for minimum of five (5) years, demonstrated outstanding service to, or having brought great credit to, ICPC. Distinguished performance clearly identifies them as having played a key role in the mission and purpose of ICPC. Personal dedication and self-sacrifice will be considering factors. When applicable, the Ethics Chair and Regional Director are contacted for their acknowledgement and endorsement of the nominees. Current ICPC Executive Officers are not eligible for the award during their term of office.
Deadline: October 15th.
Selection: Nominations are submitted to the Corporate Office with the final selection at the January Executive Committee mid-winter meeting. The President (or appointee) will contact the recipient, and their agency head, to announce the selection and encourage ATS attendance for presentation.
Description: The Order of Merit medal is attached to a neck ribbon, bearing the ICPC logo, topped by a bar inscribed “Order of Merit and presented in a shadow box framed case. The medal is engraved: Number of OM, Recipient’s name, Award Date. The Order of Merit Ribbon is worn at ICPC ceremonies.
