ICPC supports volunteer and paid chaplains, and assists law enforcement agencies in developing local chaplaincy programs. 

ICPC member chaplains are provided with a wide variety of regional and international training seminars and use of a lending library of resource materials. A network of mutual support helps disseminate and share information among chaplains.

Assistance is given to law enforcement agencies seeking to start or improve their chaplaincy program. 

Members are . . . 

  • Appointed to chaplaincy by a law enforcement agency 
  • Endorsed by their religious body for law enforcement chaplaincy 
  • Have at least five (5) years experience in pastoral ministry 
  • Persons who adhere to the Canons of Chaplains' Ethics  

Associate Members are . . . 

  • Appointed to serve as chaplain in a law enforcement agency or an affiliate organization but lack the ecclesiastical endorsement and/or pastoral ministry experience 
  • Persons who adhere to the Canons of Chaplains' Ethics  

Affiliate Members are . . . 

  • Individuals who have an interest in, and are supportive of, the objectives of the International Conference of Police Chaplains
